The Brattle Anime Festival News

I have no idea where to start. I guess I’ll start with the “when”. The Third Brattle Anime Festival will happen on Saturday, June 2nd, 2007 at Noon and run for 24 hours. So there, we have a date.

The next big piece of news I have to tell you is Nancy Novotny, the English voice of Yomi for TBAF audience favorite Azumanga Daoih! and Yuka for Elfen Lied has agreed to attend TBAF. We are very pleased that Nancy has accepted our invitation and will be TBAF’s very first Guest of Honor.

This leads to the announcement of two more titles. To showcase the work of Nancy, we will be screening Azumanga Daioh and Elfen Lied with their English Dub tracks.

So there’s all the news fit to print: the date, our guest and two titles. Not a bad day. Make sure to come back on April 2nd as we start to really get things started.

We’re excited to announce our second confirmed title: Origin: Spirits of the Past!

Origin: Spirits of the past is a gorgeous and compelling feature-legnth film by GONZO, the makers of Chrno Crusade, Last Exile and Brave Story. This movie promises to be a real treat viewed on the Brattle’s screen.
