About Us
The Brattle Anime Festival, or TBAF (pronounced Tee-Baff), first occured on Feburary 25th, 2006. With its success, we quickly followed with TBAF2 on June 24th, 2006 to take advantage of publicity at Anime Boston.
The Brattle Anime Festival is a 24-hour Festival of Animation from Japan. In the past, we have screened Final Fantasy VII: Advent Children, The End of Evangelion, Lupin III: The Castle of Caglistro, Inuyasha 3: The Swords of an Honorable Ruler and episodes from Azumanga Daioh, Cowboy Bebop, Fullmetal Alchemist and more. We’ve also hosted the much-beloved fan parodies This is Otakudom and S.T.E.A.M. Not to mention the shorts and surprises that filled the spaces inbetween features.
The festival is run by Tom and Jennifer and is hosted by our friends at the Brattle Theatre and we also benefit greatly with help from Casi and Jessica.
